OUR HISTORY
Mr Ramamurthy Venkatasami is the founder and head of Bonkoutir Uniforms Ltee and started as a tailor in a small shop in the centre of Flacq in the year of independence – 1968. By dint of his passion for service and quality added to his values of hard work, he steadily expanded his product range of uniform to serve the hotel industry as well as corporate. As the textile industry started booming in 1985, he set up his own factory at that time. It started as a family concerned and a staff of 50 persons who were trained to product quality uniform wear of all types using the latest technologies.
Mr Ramamurthy has always shown attention to detail and believes in meticulous choice of fabric and production techniques. This has earned him the support of the most exacting customers. He has also provided great care to the close follow up of orders in process so as to make sure that delivery deadlines were met all the time thus he won the reputation of a reliable and serious supplier.
He has leveraged IT to integrate it throughout the enterprise, specially for accounting and inventory departments. No doubt that today, what is now known as the ‘Bonkoutir’ brand, stands tall as a symbol of professionalism and industry standard when it comes to our solid reputation for reliable quality coupled with high level of services.
Mr Ravi Venkatasami who is the son of the founder is at present the managing director of Bonkoutir Uniformes Ltee and intends to carry on the same dream cherished by his father. He has expanded the business in the SADC and European region.
